What we believe

Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

We believe that by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ the power of God can and will change lives.  Bringing people out of bondage from darkness into light and eternal life.  We have seen people trapped in life controlling addictions set free.  We have seen miracle healings take place.  We have seen families restored.  We have seen people on the road of utter destruction completely turned around and now embracing a positive new and productive way of life.  We have seen people with all the world's amenities, yet  empty inside, find salvation and true meaning of life.
...All through the grace and love of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ

The Bible

Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, is the inspired Word of God: inerrant, immutable, steadfast, and unchangeable. While men wrote the sixty six books contained in the Bible, their writings came about through God’s inspiration and guidance by the Holy Spirit. Their original documented words are the everlasting truths that God wants us to know.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Trinity

Statement of Faith

The Deity of Christ

We believe there is only one God, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The Three are co-existent, co-eternal, and co-equal in divine perfection.   (Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14; I Peter 1:2; I John 5:7)

The Deity of Christ

The Plan of Redemption

The Deity of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate both fully human and fully divine. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.  (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31: Luke 1:35; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9; Acts 1:11; Acts 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3)

The Fall of Man

The Plan of Redemption

The Plan of Redemption

We believe that original man, created in the image of God, sinned by voluntary disobedience breaking covenant relationship with God.  This  brake in relationship brought on not only physical death but spiritual death  (eternal separation from God) as well. Because of sin’s nature this separation passed on to all mankind. Sin’s consequences disqualified man from God’s intent of eternal unity between Himself and mankind.   (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19)

The Plan of Redemption

The Plan of Redemption

The Plan of Redemption

We believe that God's plan of salvation and redemption flows through the Bible like a crimson thread from Genesis through Revelation. We believe that because of sin, man's relationship with God had been severed for all mankind.  Now, eternally separated from God, man was destined to a place the Bible calls Hell which God never intended for man. However, while we were yet sinners God sent a Saviour into the world to pay the penalty we deserved once and for all.

The Plan of Redemption, con't.

We believe Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, fully God and fully human, with untainted blood and without sin, was the only one who could qualify to pay for the sins of the world.  By divine design he took our place, died for us and with His life’s blood purchased the pardon for all who believe in Him. On the third day he arose from the tomb  and is now seated at the right hand of God.  We believe, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (John 3:16; Romans 10:13; Titus 2:14)

Salvation Comes by God's Grace

The Plan of Redemption, con't.

The Plan of Redemption, con't.

We believe that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is wholly through God’s grace; no human righteousness, good works or merit can buy God’s love and favor. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. We believe that, upon sincere repentance and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God through Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection. The evidence of salvation is both inward and outward.  (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:6-10; 1 John 1:9 Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Titus 2:11-12; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 8:16; Ephesians 4:24; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)

Communion

The Plan of Redemption, con't.

Communion

We believe in observing Communion, (the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Eucharist), receiving the bread and the juice as representing the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ with joy and faith in remembrance of the New Covenant/Testament established for us with God by Christ’s death on the Cross and His resurrection on the third day. (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)

Baptism

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Communion

We believe full water immersion baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an essential response to Jesus’ command, testifying to His lordship as Christ and King. It is an outward sign of the inward change that has taken place in our life.  (Matthew 28:19;  Romans 6:3,4)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power, subsequent to conversion. Evidence of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated by speaking in tongues and boldness as recorded in the book of Acts (Acts 2:4). We believe that all of these are available to believers.

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, and in the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in a believer's life.  We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows enabling ministry gifts upon believers, and that these gifts will build up the Body of Christ to reach the world.  We believe the fruit of the Spirit should be progressively evidenced in a believer’s life: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, self-control.  (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22-25)
